A research has revealed that despite having only two cells in the brain of a snail, it is capable of taking difficult decisions in a difficult situation.
Scientists are impressed by this quality of the snail's mind and they want to make the robot's brain so that it can be effective and sensible.
According to research, snails may not be able to take immediate decisions but they maintain their balance in difficult situations and are capable of taking tough decisions.
Professor and Chief Researcher at the University of Sussex, England, said that when we are doing some complex work, we do not know what is going on in our mind.
But this is not the case with snails. One cell gives information and the other decides that a cell in the snail's brain tells him whether he is hungry or not, while the other informs him of the presence of food. This research has been done on the basis of the study of brain activity of snails searching for food.
Professor Schinkmus said that research has also shown that the same cells help in managing how much energy they spend after making a decision. This discovery of using the least amount of elements in major tasks will further help develop the brain of the robot.
He stated that when making goal-directed decisions, animals use as little energy as possible which is possible only when there is information about both the external environment and the internal state.
