Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research was established on 2008. The Hospital attached to the College is being run from the year 1986, providing health care services to the surrounding villages for more than 30 years. People belonging to the poor socio economic group of the nearby 750 villages including agricultural labourers are getting various health care services from our Hospital.

The institution and its teaching hospital are located in a sprawling green campus located right on the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway (NH 16).  It is 23 km from the Vijayawada city the biggest Railway Junction in South India and just 5km away from Vijayawada Airport and everyday air flights are available from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and New Delhi cities.  The campus is well connected by road by Chennai, Kolkata highway number.  The Institute and Hospital was established in Rural Area in Krishna District covering the population around 30 lakhs.

The journey of Medical Education in Assam started with the establishment of Berry White Medical School at Dibrugarh about 100 years back. The first Medical College in Assam-the Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh was established on 3rd November 1947 by upgradation of the Berry White Medical School. Subsequently, on 20th September, 1960 the Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati and on 15th August, 1968 the Silchar Medical College, Silchar were established.

A long felt need of the people of Jorhat was fulfilled with the laying of the Foundation Stone of the Jorhat Medical College by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh, in presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam Sjt Tarun Gogoi, Hon’ble Union Minister of Law & Justice Shri Veerappa Moily, Hon’ble Union Minister of Mines and DoNER Shri B.K. Handique, Hon’ble Health Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon’ble MLA Shri Rana Goswami and a galaxy of distinguished guests and a huge crowd, on the historic day of 25th August 2008.

Nimra Educational Society (NES), a Muslim Minority body established in the Year 1991 and registered under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act of 1350 Fasli.

NES is established with a view to promote general, technical, medical and other professional/scientific education among the general masses, regardless of their caste, creed and community but with a special focus on the Muslim Minorities. Many people give us credit for bringing about a revolutionary change in the existing education system of the state of Andhra Pradesh especially in the Costal Andhra region.

NRI Institute of Medical Sciences was established and it was started functioning from the academic year 2012-13. It was located at a distance of 25kms from Waltair (Visakhapatnam) Railway Station, 23km from state bus complex, 40kms from the Naval Airport and 20kms from the upcoming International Airport on the National Highway from Chennai to Kolkatta. Anil Neerukonda Hospital was established with all basic specialities in the year 2005 with a bed strength of 300. Now the same hospital has been upgraded as teaching hospital with 650 beds having 10 specialities

Guntur Medical College had a humble beginning in the 1940s. The then Government of Madras issued an order  on June 22, 1946 that Guntur Medical College would start functioning from July1, 1946 admitting 50 students. The help rendered by Mrs. Achanta Rukmini Lakshmipathi, the then Health Minister was immense and all those who receive their education in this great institution are really indebted to her. Dr. G.V.Satynarayana Murthy took charge as the Special Officer, GMC Scheme on september 17, 1946.

Many students of Government medical college Anantapuramu Regularly attended different student conferences and presented Cases and posters and won the awards. One student by name Manasa had been selected for Republic day parade in Jan-26th 2012 as NSS volunteer . One student by name M. Niharika of 2014 batch had received state best NSS volunteer award on Sep-24th 2018. Government Medical college Anantapuramu has been sanctioned 2nd NSS unit because of its out standing services by 1st unit in 2016. programme officer of NSS.A.
