Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangalore was started in 1955, and initially, it utilized the clinical facilities of the Government Wenlock Hospital and Government Lady Goschen Hospital. The Medical College became an independent unit in 1977. The college is recognized by the Medical Council of India, General Medical Council of Great Britain, and the Malaysian Medical Council.
