 The Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute (VPCI) is a unique postgraduate medical institution devoted to the study of chest diseases. It is a University of Delhi maintained institution and is funded entirely by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The institute is ideally located in the heart of the main campus of the University of Delhi, providing the requisite academic environment. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (Formerly, Bhagalpur Medical College Bhagalpur) was founded in the year 1970 under the management of Dept. of Health, Medical education and F.W, Govt. of Bihar. The college is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna (Formerly to Tilkamanjhi Bhagalpur university, Bhagalpur).

100 students are admitted annually before 31st July and classes are taken from 1st August. The process of admission is completed on or before 30th September every year.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna is strategically located to address regional imbalances in healthcare services, research, and training. Subsequently the medical council of India after proper Inspection and assesment again approved admission of 2014 and 2015 batch of students for 100 MBBS Seats.

The Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) was initially set up as Tezpur Lunatic Asylum under the British Government in April, 1876.

Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences is the first medical college of Arunachal Pradesh situated at Naharlagun town of Papum Pare district. The institute is established in 2017 and the academic session started on 1 August 2018 for academic year 2018–19. The Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences college and hospital have 50 MBBS seats and a 300 bedded hospital.

The institute is named after Tomo Riba, 2nd chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh.

Vision

Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital is a government medical college having hospital facilities at Darbhanga, Bihar. It was established in the year 1946. College is currently affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University.

History

The medical college was constructed with the efforts of King Rameshwar Singh of Khandavala Dynasty who also built the beautiful Raj Nagar Palace in Madhubani.

 About Gauhati Medical College

Dr. John Berry White, MRCS, a British Surgeon of the East India Company, was the pioneer to start Health Education and health care in Assam. He established a medical school known as 'Berry White Medical School' at Dibrugarh, Assam in 1898-99. In course of time this medical school was upgraded and on 3rd Nov., 1947 the Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh was established and it stands as the first medical college in Assam.
