The College includes all the clinical Departments, such as Departments of General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Oto-Rhino Laryngology ENT), Anaesthesiology, Radio-diagnosis, Radio therapy, and Dentistry and non clinical Departments such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine. A green, calm, quiet and serene area flourished in 32 acres. The Medical College is about 8 kilometres away from Adoor and can be reached by road from Adoor or Pathanapuram. The Medical College is recognized by the Medical University and approved by the Government of Kerala.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), is a professional degree in medical science. A person holding the MBBS degree becomes a certified medical practitioner. The duration of MBBS course is five years and six months including one year of rotational internship at hospitals, health centres, and health camps organised by non-profit organisations (NGOs). MBBS course syllabus includes studies on anatomy, pharmacology, pathology as well as community health & medicine, paediatrics, and surgery.
