AIIMS Jodhpur is one of the SIX NEW AIIMS established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.

Ravindra Nath Tagore Medical College, Udaipur is a Govt. medical college situated in  Udaipur, Rajasthan (India).

The college was established in 1961, in a building donated by His Highness, ex-Maharana of Udaipur. The administrative block is housed in another historical palace donated by The Salumber Rao.

The college received recognition from the Medical Council of India in 1966. The college is named after the famous Indian Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, a writer and freedom fighter.

J.K. Lon Hospital is situated in the campus of MBS Hospital & has a separate administration control headed by Medical Superintendent. The hospital came in to existence & started working on 2nd October, 1973 after a foundation stone laid down by Mohan LalSukhadiaji in 1971. The hospital building was donated by J.K. Group of Industries, Kota which showed a great interest & concern towards mother & child health care. The hospital was later on extended & new wards, operation theatres & intensive care units were started as per the needs of the patients.
