Shantabaa Haribhai Gajera Medical College and Hospital is established under Gajera Trust, with a vision to achieve excellence in the field of Medical Education, Health Care and Research. The realization of this dream was achieved due to clear vision of trustees who had a desire to the challenging path of all our success and achievements. Our Endeavour has been to emphasize 'student centric' training with a view that the role of a teacher is as a facilitator who helps students 'learn the subject', rather than merely 'teach the subject'Educational Trust was formed with the objective of imparting quality technical education, medical education and other relevant field of education especially to the weaker section of the society.We are running all the colleges in the highest order of discipline among the students and personally take care of their studies, successful completion of the course.
It is the selfless support and blessings of the people of Amreli, that gave me strength and determination to establish Shantabaa Medical College at Amreli Civil Hospital Campus under Public Private Partnership with the Government of Gujarat from June 2018.

He did MBBS in 1983 from Patliputra Medical College Dhanbad Jharkhand (erstwhile Bihar) and MS ENT in 1987 from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences Ranchi Jharkhand (erstwhile Bihar). He was Assistant Professor and Associate Professor ENT at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Sewagram Wardha (Maharashtra) and afterward joined Govt. of Gujarat Medical Education and Health Services as Associate Professor and later on Professor and Head ENT at BJ Medical College Ahmedabad. From 2008 onwards he became Dean at MP Shah Govt. Medical College Jamnagar, Govt. Medical College Bhavnagar and Medical Superintendent Sir T General Hospital, Govt. Medical College Bhavnagar (Gujarat)

He has a keen interest in the research scientific publications and has published more than 100 research scientific ENT publications in various National and International journals. He had three months fellowship in South Korea and six weeks fellowship in Germany and has demonstrated several live Rhinoplasty surgery in India and abroad, demonstrated cadaveric dissection of Rhinoplasty in India, and has delivered lectures at National and International conferences. He designed the “VIKAS SINHA PRE AURICULAR FLAP” for the basal cell carcinoma of the skin. He has performed one of the highest numbers of cases of “CHOANAL ATRESIA” surgery and designed his own “VIKAS SINHA STENT” for this surgery. His various ENT surgical videos are available on “YouTube” for learning purposes.
He designed an innovative model of Bronchoscopy and was awarded the Senior Consultant Award at Gujarat State ENT Association. He is also the Ph.D. guide of ENT. He has written a book of ENT “Practical ENT” by VIKAS SINHA. He was conferred with “Fellow of Otolaryngology” by the Indian Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. He was President of Gujarat Association of Otolaryngologists of India and was listed in the 6th edition of Marquis Who’s and who of US Science and Engineering 2002-2002.
Shantabaa Medical College of Gajera trust is a new Medical College in the Amreli district of Saurashtra. There was a great need to have one well-equipped highly specialized Medical College and Hospital in the Amreli district. The poor patients of Amreli district earlier used to go to other places for their medical ailments. The Shantabaa Medical College of Gajera trust has full filled all the needs of poor patients to get specialized treatment by the fully qualified specialist doctors of different specialties at this place. Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (Latin: Medicinae Baccalaureus, Baccalaureus Chirurgiae; abbreviated in many ways, most commonly MBBS, but also MB ChB, BMBS, MB BCh, MB BChir), is the primary medical degree awarded by medical schools in countries that follow the tradition of the United Kingdom. The historical degree nomenclature states that they are two separate undergraduate degrees. In practice, however, they are usually combined as one and conferred together, and may also be awarded at graduate-level medical schools.
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), is a professional degree in medical science. A person holding the MBBS degree becomes a certified medical practitioner. The duration of MBBS course is five years and six months including one year of rotational internship at hospitals, health centres, and health camps organised by non-profit organisations (NGOs). MBBS course syllabus includes studies on anatomy, pharmacology, pathology as well as community health & medicine, paediatrics, and surgery. The syllabus, prescribed in such a way that MBBS degree holders can choose a specialisation for further majoring and practising medicine. The career specialisations for MBBS students are Nephrology, Cardiology, Gynecology, Anesthesiology, Organ Transplant, Endocrine, and General Surgery, etc.
