Hon. Dr. Padmasinhaji Patil, a man with golden dreams & enthusiasm of converting dreams into reality, is the Founder President of the “Terna Public Charitable Trust”. He is associated with a large number of Educational, Social and Medical activities in Maharashtra. Dr. Patil, a renowned personality, has devoted his life to the cause of Education and social activities.

Terna Trust was established on 30th Sep 1980, with a primary goal to provide educational and health services to all sections of society. Terna Public Charitable Trust is continuously organizing various Social & Medical programs in different parts of the state.

Dr. Padmasinhaji Patil has also contributed to society by serving in various Social and Political Fronts. He was Cabinet Minister in Home, Irrigation Ministry in Maharashtra State for more than 25 yrs. He also served as Deputy Leader of opposition Legislative Assembly between 1995 to 2000.

It is with immense pleasure that I pen my message as Dean of Terna Medical College & Hospital.

I feel deeply honored to be associated with a vibrant institute that has, proven its pre-eminence and uniqueness by blending medical, and public health sciences under a single institutional framework.

Terna Medical College, Nerul, Navi Mumbai is the culmination of vision of our founder Hon’ble Dr. Padamsinghji Patil. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.

We take pride in our infrastructural facilities, teaching faculty, student and staff support systems and excellent teaching and learning environment, for all round development of our students.

In the present rapidly changing medical education scenario and health care delivery systems, along with the growth and development in information and communication technology, medical education has become more dynamic than ever before. In this dynamic environment our Endeavour is to make our students competent, confident, self-reliant, lifelong learners ready for change. Our focus is on student centered education. We follow the adult learning principals in imparting knowledge to our students the focus is on higher levels of learning, comprehension, analysis and application of knowledge. Our emphasis is on developing the right kind of attitude and human approach in treating the sick and needy. Special efforts are taken to see if the students have learnt the necessary skills to become competent physicians.

To achieve this we have excellent, experienced and dedicated faculty who are all trained in advanced level teaching technologies. We have the state of art, tertiary care, multi-specialty teaching hospital with all the modern diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. The hospital serves to care for the patients as well as an excellent place to learn medicine.  The college has specious, well equipped laboratories, lecture halls with modern aids. We provide excellent library facilities with reference books, national and international journals, advance digital library facilities etc.

Research is an integral part of our training. We have completed a number of research projects and many are underway. The students are also encouraged to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities to showcase their talents.
