History 

One hospital and one dispensary were started in 1845. Subsequently, such facilities were recommended for other parts of the state as well. However, due to lack of trained doctors the initiative with limited success, In 1855, a maternity hospital and one dispensary and a medical school were opened in Jaipur, inaugurated on 7th September, 1861 and in the first batch 24 students were admitted. Dr. Kingford Burr was appointed as director of this college and he used to teach material medical, practical therapeutics, surgery and practice of medicine. Later, Dr.

Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib in Dehradun is a philanthropic organization of the Udaseen sect . Sri Guru Ram Rai ji, the eldest son of the seventh Guru of the Sikhs- Sri Har Rai ji, had established it for protecting and spreading the traditions, ideals and philosophies of Hinduism Dehradun owes its name and history to the emergence of Sri Guru Ram Rai ji who came to this then small , green Arcadian abode way back in 1676. He established his ‘ DERA ‘ in Doon Valley which later became popular as ‘DEHRADUN’ During the reigns of Aurangzeb , the doon valley was Guru Maharajji’s property.

Overview
Kamineni Academy  of Medical  Sciences  and Research Centre (KAMSRC)  was started in  the year 2012 with goals of "Quality  Medical  Education,  Service to the community,  Ethics and Professionalism  in health care, and Research  and Development."

KAMSRC  is promoted  by Kamineni  Hospitals  Pvt.Ltd.,    L.B.   Nagar,  Hyderabad,  which was established  in  1991.The College was  permitted  by Medical Council of India for annual  admissions of 150 students  in  MBBS Course from the academic  year 2013.

Founded in 1926, the Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College (GSMC) and the King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital are amongst the foremost teaching and medical care providing institutions in India. The medical college (school) provides training to about 2000 students in undergraduate, postgraduate and superspeciality medical courses; in undergraduate and postgraduate physical and occupational therapy; Masters and PhD courses in various allied specialties. A nursing school is also maintained by these institutions.

A long cherished dream of a Medical College at Madurai the Temple City – came into reality in the year 1954 with the great efforts of the National Leader late Thiru K. Kamaraj.
  
Thirumathi Rajkumari Amrit Kaur, the then Hon’ble Minister for Health, the Government of India inaugurated the Institution on 2.8.1954 at the old Taluk Building at the Fair Weather road, Madurai.

NRI'S MEDICAL COLLEGE

NRI Academy of Sciences is promoted by a small consortium of 32 NRI doctors from USA who were all born and brought up in Guntur and Krishna Districts of Andhra Pradesh. The main objective of NRIAS is to promote the best in medical education & to produce doctors with global standards while providing affordable health care to the needy people of the society on non-profit basis with state of art facilities and modern medical equipment.

Established in 1921, T.N. Medical College and B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital had recently celebrated its centenary year. The occasion was blessed by the presence of Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri. Uddhavji Thackray. Being a first medical college and Hospital in India, run by Indians for Indians, it has set various landmarks in its glorious journey of 100 years.
