Government Medical College Khandwa is situated in district of khandwa which is guarded by Narmada river form one side and Satpura hill range from other side. Khandwa is a city in the Nimar region of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Khandwa District, formerly known as East Nimar District. Khandwa is an ancient city, with many places of worship, like many other cities in India. Most temples are Hindu or Jain. During the 12th century CE, it was a centre of Jainism.

Established in 1946, Gajra Raja Medical College, Gwalior, is the 17th Medical College of India and the first in the state of M.P. Presently It admits 150 students for MBBS, 68 students for post graduation Degree Courses and 36 students for Diploma courses every year. Jaya Arogya Group of Hospitals is the affiliated teaching hospital and has about 1100 beds equipped with all modern facilities.

Index group is an offshoot of Mayank Welfare society nurturing health and education at its best. The group of institutions are situated in a 40 acre campus.

Long long ago, once upon a time, on the happy lands of Bhopal arrived a young man with glittering eyes. He was son of an orthodox middle class family who, after completing basic education, got admission to MBBS in 1974 in a prestigious medical college in Punjab.

The boy completed his graduation and post graduation in pediatrics in soon succession. And how destiny could lead him out of nowhere, he arrived in Bhopal in 1984.

The city of lord Mahakal, Ujjain, is known by several names in Vedas and Puranas. The word ‘Avanti’ has repeatedly surfaced in the verses of Vedas. Another name Ujjayini has emerged in the sutra  “Striyamwanti Kurubhyashcha” of great scholar Panini. The city was named after King Kartavirya Arjun’s son Avanti which was later called as Avantika, Avantipuri, Avanti Nagri or Avantikapuri. The city was even called as Vishala due to its large area and Padmavati due to its grand places and prosperity.

People’s University has separate library in each Constituent Unit the Libraries houses a rich collection of text and reference books, E-Journals, magazines, audio/videos, CD-ROMs, research reports and Digital Library etc. in all areas and branches of study in different disciplines.
