The purpose of state medical college eduction policy is to provide healthcare for all citizens of the state and to train students. At present there are 61655 trained medical manpower in the state as per doctors registererd with State Medical Council Of India. The doctor population ratio in the state is 1:3456. The catchment area of this medical college shall be urban and rural population of Distt. Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar in UP and near by Yamuna Nagar , Kurusheshtra, Karnal and panipat in Haryana .

The College and Hospital is spread over a collective area of 5,50,000 Sq. ft. Established in the year 2011 , Rama Medical College has been producing qualified and expert medical professionals who are not only good at their profession, but also carry deep values that make them inclined towards serving the community. Way back in 1707, the first hospital in Calcutta was built in the premises of the Old Fort at Gerstein Place. The Council of Fort William constructed this hospital. This hospital, initially built for the Europeans, was then known as Presidency Hospital. The hospital was accommodated in a single storied building. Later, in 1768, two houses were purchased in Lower Circular Road for converting them into a full fledged hospital. Located near the Presidency Jail, the hospital came to be known as Presidency General Hospital. Doors were opened to the non-European patients from 2nd April 1770.

Murshidabad Medical College is a government-run medical college located very near to Berhampore Court Railway Station on Station Road in Berhampore Town at Murshidabad district. The college was established in 2012. The Hospital serves the people of the districts Murshidabad, Birbhum and the northern part of Nadia by providing preventive, diagnostic and curative services to the community. The college has a capacity of 125 MBBS seats which is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences and recognized by Medical Council of India. Students are admitted through NEET.

Founded over three decades ago, NBMCH is a medical school. Dr. B.C. Roy is the founder and director of our medical university. He has worked hard over the years to ensure that his vision becomes the success that it is today.

We began with a few students and a faculty of 5. Our first classes were done in our pioneer hall, long before the iconic quadrangle in the school was constructed.
