The city of lord Mahakal, Ujjain, is known by several names in Vedas and Puranas. The word ‘Avanti’ has repeatedly surfaced in the verses of Vedas. Another name Ujjayini has emerged in the sutra  “Striyamwanti Kurubhyashcha” of great scholar Panini. The city was named after King Kartavirya Arjun’s son Avanti which was later called as Avantika, Avantipuri, Avanti Nagri or Avantikapuri. The city was even called as Vishala due to its large area and Padmavati due to its grand places and prosperity.

Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre is a premier educational institution built as per the standards in a sprawling campus located along Hesaraghatta main road of Bengaluru city.

Government Medical College Ernakulam, (GMCE), Ernakulam is one among the premier medical institutions in the Kerala state. The college was governed by the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education established by the Government of Kerala. Later in December 17, 2013 the Government has taken over the institution and now it is governed and managed by Government of Kerala. The admissions and functioning of the college is according to the rules and regulations formulated by the Government of Kerala.

Academy of Medical Sciences, popularly known as Pariyaram Medical College is one of the biggest Super Speciality Medical Institution in India. 

Kerala has made giant strides in the field of health and set the standard in indicators of public health for the rest of the nation. This is achieved by ensuring literacy, equitable land distribution and civic rights to the entire society.

Dr. Somervell Memorial CSI Medical College established in 2002 is attached to the Dr. Somervell Memorial Mission Hospital established in 1894 at Karakonam, a village, in the southern border of the Thiruvananthapuram District of the State of Kerala. The Hospital, the Medical College and all other institutions attached are run by of the Church of South India - South Kerala Diocese and managed by the South Kerala Medical Mission.

It's has been nearly 5 years since we embarked on the journey to establish a Medical College in the backward, hilly, tribal district of Wayanad in Kerala. It was an arduous but satisfying task to build the infrastructure and getting qualified faculty in a remote area. We could establish the foundation for an excellent institution in the last few years and manage to get the required qualified faculty. Apart from this, we also have the satisfaction of providing quality emergency care and tertiary treatment, which helped saving hundreds of lives.

AIIMS Jodhpur is one of the SIX NEW AIIMS established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.

Ravindra Nath Tagore Medical College, Udaipur is a Govt. medical college situated in  Udaipur, Rajasthan (India).

The college was established in 1961, in a building donated by His Highness, ex-Maharana of Udaipur. The administrative block is housed in another historical palace donated by The Salumber Rao.

The college received recognition from the Medical Council of India in 1966. The college is named after the famous Indian Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, a writer and freedom fighter.
