It gives me great pleasure to introduce the new Webpage of Silchar Medical College & Hospital in the new year. Since 1968, our Institution has been serving the ailing public of the entire Barak Valley and the adjoining regions of the neighbouring states of Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram and Meghalaya.
The dawn of 15th August 1974 not only heralded the 27th anniversary of India’s independence but also marked the beginning of a new chapter within the annals of India’s education in the state of Telangana. The day saw the birth of MNR Educational Trust founded by Sri M. N. Raju, Chairman of MNR Educational Group.
HISTORY
Sassoon General Hospitals is a large state-run hospital in Pune, India with 1296 beds. It is affiliated to the B. J. Medical College and a Nurses training School. Sassoon Hospital caters to 9,426,959 population of Pune District- a 2nd most populous district in the State of Maharashtra.
The Jewish philanthropist David Sassoon from Mumbai made a generous donation to make the construction of the hospital possible in 1867. The hospital could originally accommodate 144 patients.
Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, was established in 1996. It was Dr. P. D. Patil, Chancellor, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri, Pune’s vision and desire to set up one of the best College, Hospital and Research Centre in Maharashtra and across the country. His efforts bore fruit and with the blessings of Hon’ble Dr. D. Y. Patil, Ex-Governor, Bihar and Tripura the Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre was started.
Government Medical College Thrissur, established in 1982 is one of the leading centers in medical education in Kerala, India. Govt.Medical College, Kozhikode( Calicut medical College) is a premier medical college located in the city of Kozhikode in Kerala. It was established in 1957 as the second medical college in Kerala. Since then the institution has grown into a premier centre of medical education in the state. The vast and sprawling Medical College campus is spread over an extensive area of 270 acres (1.1 km²) and is located about 8 km east from the heart of Kozhikode city. It was formerly affiliated to the University of Calicut and now to the Kerala University for Health Sciences (KUHS).
