The Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College & Hospital, popularly known as M.K.C.G. Medical College and Hospital, is a Government Medical College set up by the Government of Odisha under Health & Family Welfare Department and is a pioneer medical institute in Eastern India in medical teaching, training, research and patient care. It has been named after the Late Maharaja of Parlakhemundi, Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati.

NRI Academy of Sciences is promoted by a small consortium of 32 NRI doctors from USA who were all born and brought up in Guntur and Krishna Districts of Andhra Pradesh. JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, formerly known as JSS University, is a Deemed to be University located in Mysuru, Karnataka. It was established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and is part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which runs a variety of educational institutions. This deemed-to-be university is recognized by Ministry of Education and accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade (3.48 CGPA). JSS AHER has been graded as Category-I Deemed-to-be University by UGC.

Established in 1921, T.N. Medical College and B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital had recently celebrated its centenary year. The occasion was blessed by the presence of Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri. Uddhavji Thackray. Being a first medical college and Hospital in India, run by Indians for Indians, it has set various landmarks in its glorious journey of 100 years.

Government Medical College, Amritsar traces its foundation as a Medical School in Lahore in 1864. It was later relocated to Amritsar in 1920.

The college has a cherished history and earned for itself a place of pride in the field of medical education and patient care in the region. Over the years the school has emerged as a nursery of medical teachers and trained physicians who have fanned out in the country to serve as key participants in private as well as public healthcare in order to meet the growing needs of the nation.
