Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This Creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, in 1916 with cooperation of great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was created under the Parliamentary legislation - B.H.U. Act 1915. It played a stellar role in the independence movement and has developed into the greatest center of learning in India.

The journey of Medical Education in Assam started with the establishment of Berry White Medical School at Dibrugarh about 100 years back. The first Medical College in Assam-the Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh was established on 3rd November 1947 by upgradation of the Berry White Medical School. Subsequently, on 20th September, 1960 the Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati and on 15th August, 1968 the Silchar Medical College, Silchar were established.

Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Government Institute of Medical Science and Research, Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal is first government college of Uttarakhand. Medical Council of India has given permission for admission of 100 M.B.B. S students in June 2008, which has been increased currently to 125 M.B.B.S. seats.

Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan a great visionary, philanthropist, a social reformer was born on 6th September 1935. Though he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth but his eternal desire to serve the poor and needy Indian Muslim Community made him to choose a life full of battles and challenges. He was graduated from Stanley Medical College, Chennai and studied M.S. in Madras University. His contribution in the field of education, health care, Banking etc. in the form of Al-Ameen Movement can mesmerize anybody.

Some people are destined for greatness, no matter how humble their beginnings. Shri  M.V. Muthuramalingam is one such personality. His mother’s poignant words and his life experiences taught him to never give up. No matter what challenge life placed in his path, he has always approached it head on and was driven to achieve greater heights. This admirable perseverance was displayed early in childhood, having faced adversity after adversity. He pursued a degree in engineering, overcoming the challenges of his rural upbringing.

             Sree Balaji Medical College & Hospital was started from the academic year 2003-04 with the aim of providing excellent medical education run by Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust established in 1984 and it has come under the ambit of BHARATH INSTITUTE OF HIGHER EDUCATION & RESEARCH in the year 2004. The hospital stated under graduate -MBBS admission of 100 per academic year from the year 2003-2004 onwards. Our college has started Postgraduate courses from the academic year from 2009 -2010 with an annual intake of 60 seats in various broad specialities.

M.M. Patel Public Charitable Trust is a Public Trust and it has been registered as P.T.R. no. E-702 Solapur. This trust has been established by the Patel family members by self earned income. The Government of Maharashtra has given approval in principle to the starting of a medical college by the Trust. The project of the Medical College and the Hospital being erected at and post Kumbhari, South Solapur.
